Today was a special day because we had a TV crew coming to our class. They interviewed me and my students and wanted to capture a bit of the atmosphere when we skyped with another class. For this lesson, we played #MysterySkype with Mr. Dean Whiteley's 4th grade class. This was the first time for my students to talk to someone in the UK and it took them a while to guess that the Longhill Primary class was located in Kingston Upon Hull in Yorkshire.

Mr. Smith's year 5/6 class from Queensland, Australia spent the night at school meeting people all around the world via Skype. My 3rd graders played their first Mystery Skype with them.
Today was a fun day for my 4th grade students - they played Mystery Skype game with Mr. Flory's class. My students were so excited when I asked them to play this game and even the fact that they had to stay after class for this opportunity was not a problem for them. Today we had special virtual guests in our English class - 7/1 students welcomed Mr.Boukrab's class from Sidi Mohamed El Maghraoui school in Fes, Morocco, to our classroom. Since they didn't know our location, we played Mystery Skype game until they guessed and then the students asked each other questions about school subjects, daily life, sport and music. After our chat, we continued our learning and exchanged PPT presentations with Mr. Boukrab's class. The theme was - TOURIST ATTRACTIONS NEAR OUR CITY - below is the presentation about Fez. |
